Pro never changes what an upvote is worth: every upvote on the site counts as one, so paying cannot outvote anybody. And Pro never changes how your links are followed: that stays earned by the product, not bought by the account.

Before you pay

The six questions we are asked most often about the money on this page.

Does paying change how you rank?

No. Launch days are ranked by upvotes and nothing else, and every upvote on the site counts as one, whoever cast it. Boost Launch and Premium Launch buy a place above the list for one launch day, marked with a flame so you can tell it was paid for. The numbered ranking underneath is the same ranking it always was, the day is still won by whoever earned the most upvotes, and the badge is gone the next morning. Awesome Indie Pro changes how many upvotes you can cast in a day, never what each one is worth.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Nothing you published goes away. Every limit here is a ceiling on future actions only, so you simply go back to submitting at your streak's pace.

Can I get Pro for free?

Most of it, yes. A login streak raises what you can submit and how many upvotes you get a day. The verified badge, the website link and per-product analytics stay Pro-only. The whole ladder is in Membership above.

Does paying skip the review?

No. A paid product is escalated to a human rather than refused automatically. If we do turn it down, you get your money back.

Who handles the payment?

Polar is our merchant of record, so payment, invoice and tax are all theirs. Yours live in billing settings.

Can I get a refund?

Before your product launches, yes. Email [email protected] and the date is released. Pro and sponsorships stop at the end of the period you paid for.
