I’m building a work app for teams that still run projects in spreadsheets.

I’ve been spending a lot of time looking at how construction teams actually manage projects, and one thing keeps coming up: spreadsheets are still everywhere.

Not just for small stuff either. Schedules, budgets, RFIs, reporting, project tracking... a lot of important work still happens in Excel or Smartsheet.

That’s partly why we started building Wisegrid: https://wisegrid.co/.

We’re not trying to replace spreadsheets with some completely different workflow. The goal is more like: keep the part people already know, and make the stuff around it less painful.

Better tracking, reporting, dashboards, project visibility, that kind of thing.

We’re starting with construction and also testing similar use cases with engineering teams.

Still pretty early, but I’m curious: what’s the point where spreadsheets usually start becoming a problem for your team?
