We started building Palance because most investment platforms could tell us how a portfolio performed, but not why. Real insight into return drivers, hidden exposures and risk was usually reserved for professional investors, while everyone else got a balance, a percentage and, if fortunate, a colorful pie chart.
The product evolved through a lot of user feedback. People wanted broader asset coverage and a better way to make sense of all the resulting data. That led to Palance AI, our assistant designed to surface what matters and explain it in plain language. The goal was never to provide more data, investors already have enough numbers staring at them, but to make the data they have genuinely useful.
